Mapmaker AND releases new version of Map 2.0

Rotterdam - 7 July 2008 - AND Automotive Navigation Data, leading provider of worldwide digital mapping used for navigation and location-based services (LBS), releases a new version of their Map 2.0. Map 2.0 is now a fully online editable map. Based on the Web 2.0 principles, Map 2.0 is the first example of an online editable map. All edits are immediately stored in the map database and visible to everybody. Map 2.0 is available via www.map20.org.
New navigation and quicker maps

The website and in particular, the navigation of the map has been redesigned. The magnifying glass icon and hand icon have been removed, in favour of a more intuitive pan/zoom bar in the upper left corner. You can now use your mouse and wheel to navigate and zoom the map. Furthermore, the map now loads quicker thanks to technical improvements.
